WOW - it has been a LONG time

I can't believe it has been 9 months since I have been here. Life has been beyond crazy to say the least. To quickly recap - school started, volleyball started (and is still going!), went to work - putting in double the amount of time, volunteering at school, soccer, trips to Utah for Thanksgiving and a wedding, and of course tons of YW assignments.

I didn't think time could fly so fast! But when you look back and see all that has happened in such a short amount of time it seems like I need to make time somewhere to recap all that has been happening.

August - School started - Alyssa started Middle School and is in 6th grade, Kylie in 5th and Mason in all-day Kindergarten - which was so hard for me. I still hate thinking about the fact that they are all in school all day! Fearing that I would get "bored" (hahahahahahaha) I decided to increase my time at work with a new position at the YMCA as the Family Program Coordinator/Lead Wellness Coach. I now plan all the Family Activities for our branch, including raising the funds for the program. We have started programs including: Family Float Night, Parent's Night Out, Pancake Man Breakfast, Easter Extravaganza, etc. It is slowly building steam and our members are enjoying the events.

The girls both started with YMCA volleyball leagues for the fall and Mason played soccer. For Halloween we had a transformer, a cavegirl and a beauty queen. Luckily the weather held out for us and we trick or treated in 50 degree weather (yes! that is warm for NE). Thanksgiving was spent in SLC/St George with family and a host of doctors at the ER -with my dad crashing his motorcycle - stitches and a concussion - that was fun.

Volleyball Try-outs put Alyssa on the Nebraska Impact 13-1 team with a new coach and several new players on her team - it looks like it will be a good thing. Kylie decided to play with Suburban Volleyball League for a winter session as well. Thankfully, Mason didn't have any winter sports. Which is good because we had practice 5 times a week and all-day Saturday tournaments. Yes, I do need psychological intervention!

Christmas/New Year's brought chaos and I'm not sure we actually had a break!! Since then it has been VOLLEYBALL, Young Women's! work and STRESS!

We did get a quick little break to celebrate Jake and Meaghan's Wedding in March and now we are to Easter and Spring Break!

Kylie has just finished her volleyball, but Alyssa has one more month until Qualifiers in Minneapolis, then we will be wrapping up regular season and starting training camps. Mason started soccer again this week and will have a run at swim lessons in April and May. We are also palnning on getting the girls on a summer swim team - so we will be getting them ready starting in May.

Enjoy the picture recaps below. I still can't believe we haven't crumbled into bits, but I suppose there is a higher power carrying us through and I can't begin to express my gratitude for His strength!
