MASON FENTON

I can't believe my baby is 4 years old today. It was a rainy day in late March, and I was a week overdue when my sweet boy arrived. During the previous night I hadn't feel him move much, so first thing in the morning I called Dr Talley to get in for a check-up. TJ and I headed over to the doctor, and found out that all was just fine, but luckily for me, TJ and Dr. Talley began complaining about the overcrowded hospital and all the "politics" surrounds patient care. Dr. Talley, in her fiery rage called her "favorite" nurse and told her I was high risk and needed to get in right away, and she sent us over to the hospital.

As we walked to the car to move it, we found a flat tire!! So, since the hospital was close, we just walked over (always helpful for labor) got me checked in, etc., and then TJ went to fix the tire and move the car.

By the time he got back I was actually really in labor and progressing quite quickly. Mason was born within 2 hours 3:30pm on 3/30 - quite a change from Alyssa's 18 hour entrance!!! He was my biggest baby at 8 pounds and so precious.

This whole month has been such a long wait for him, and finally when he woke up today it was HERE - but dad had to be at a church meeting, so we had to wait for him to get back. As soon as the garage door opened Mason was going CRAZY! It was time to open PRESENTS! He got 2 movies: "Scooby Doo Mysteries" and "Everyone's Hero", Optimus Prime Transformer, Power Ranger Figures, Wii game - Lego Star Wars, and clothes (all of which have been worn today), from Grandma & Grandpa Ludlow the Wii game Playground and a Target gift card. From Grandpa Buzz and Sue he got a Bronco's Jersey. Needless to say SPOILED AGAIN.

So I asked him what it means now that he is a big, boy 4 year old. At church he told me that he didn't have to be quiet, because he is still SHORT! go figure. Then he said, now that he is four he gets to watch movies, play Wii games and go to a new school - but not 'til after "Kywee's" birthday"!
He is so great and we sure do love having him around:

He loves all kinds of sports, especially golf, hockey, baseball and soccer. We lucked out on the lack of love for basketball (you always hate to disappoint your kids, but truly he will never be tall enough for that one!)
He loves to color, paint, and read stories.
He only eats chicken nuggets, hamburgers, pizza, tacos and cereal (so well balanced). He is 38 inches tall and weighs a whopping 32 pounds.

We love having our sweet little boy he has blessed our lives so much. Happy Birthday Mason!
